Expanding a Cherished Coastal Home
Located in North Bethany Beach, this two-story, 850-square-foot coastal addition was designed to expand a beloved beach home while preserving the character that made it special in the first place.
The goal was simple: create more space for gathering, relaxing, and enjoying time together, without losing the easy coastal charm that defines life at the beach.
To ensure the new addition felt like it had always been part of the home, the design carefully mirrored the existing siding, roof pitch, and color palette. The result is a seamless transition between the original structure and the new living space.
Designed for Light, Views, and Comfort
Large, thoughtfully placed windows bring in abundant natural light while framing beautiful views of the bay. The layout was designed with both everyday living and family getaways in mind, balancing comfort with functionality.
Inside the addition you’ll find:
- A custom-built bunk room that comfortably sleeps six
- A full bathroom to support guests and family
- A cozy sitting area with a handcrafted desk overlooking the bay
Every detail was designed to support relaxed coastal living.
Outdoor Living for Every Beach Day
The project also introduced a new covered outdoor area beneath the home, creating functional space for seating and storage while providing a comfortable place to unwind outside, even on rainy beach days.
